2026 new work

A deep re-skilling this year as I have become a member of the The Schildersbent studying under Christian Rex van Minnen. Foundational restart on oil painting theory has been a feature of this year of development. 

Aside from the technical skill building this year, my work is leaning deeply into the surreal. I am putting together very detailed paintings inspired by the ultra-hued wind-scorn hills, thick low mists, evil mud, howling rainstorms and deep mossy silences. Rapidly growing pine plantations and fungi. Artifacts tied to medieval christianity, and insular deep-time. Children at the threshold of play and peril. Celtic knots, hidden symmetry and pattern, still wired up and ready to hang.
